The Woodford Family Photo Blog: hello Monday. hello 2013

It seems ages since I really blogged and blogged regularly.

2012 kicked my butt in the "getting things accomplished" department.

I ran around in a clown suit most days juggling 53 oranges while carrying an orangutan on my back and pushing a popcorn popper. Or was it a vacuum cleaner? Oh gosh, it was so long ago I can't remember now.

28 days ago to be exact.

But who's counting?

Anyway.....

2012 was....well....overwhelmingly busy. I've been checked into a looney facility for the past 3 months.

Ok, I haven't.

Yet.

Soon I've been told...I'm just waiting for a room with a river view.

I decided in the fall of last year that I'd be taking a significant break in my photography business. I have a few clients lined up for 2013, but I will not be working as much as I did last year.

Ian will be working out of state, again, this year. Our THIRD year! It only gets harder and harder and more and more wearing. It's not fun. It's not easy and I absolutely dislike the whole single mama gig. I know it's income and I should be thankful and grateful (and I am....really), but it does not make up for lost family time, stress on me and the kids and a whole bunch of other stuff. So me working my "fun" job just isn't worth it right now. Plus I miss capturing MY family and our everyday moments and having more creative time at home (my true therapy!).

I am really excited about 2013 and getting in more FUN play time and more family time too :)

This morning I picked up my pro camera and captured the little kids getting ready for school. It's just a glimpse of what part of their routine entails and hopefully one of these mornings I'll capture a little bit of their entire routine. Seriously, I wish I had my routine or Ian's routine captured or documented while we were kids....it would be so fun to see it now :)

Anyway......these days are fleeting as I have come to realize that my BABIES are halfway through elementary school!!!!!

But really......I want to hang onto every little yummy ounce of them before they are off in the world doing amazing things.

Malia will be a fabulous doctor living in NY.

Makayla will be off studying mermaids in Australia.

And Carson....well....he'll be on a life mission to find the world's best corn dog.

Or living at home and snuggling with his mama while watching Storage Wars.
