thankful // motherhood

It's November and that means a bit of reflection on all the blessings I have to be thankful for.
Although I strongly believe we need to be thankful all year around...it's still a wonderful thing to blog about this month.

November also marks the month that I first became a mama in....

I am incredibly grateful and thankful for the gift of
motherhood.
I've always known I wanted to be a mother....even in high school I remember thinking I couldn't wait to "grow up" and start my own little family.

I'm so very thankful God has allowed me to be able carry my babies in my belly.
I'm thankful for all the hard times being a mother has been....
it's only made me a better mother and a better person.
I'm far from perfect.
Thankful that I've been able to raise my children at home.
Thankful I've been their sole care taker, boo boo kisser, nurturer, snuggler and even their most awkward and embarrassing mother.

Thankful I get to experience hugs, kisses and holding the soft little hands of those precious children.
I'm even thankful for the messes they leave behind....even if I gripe about the 12,856 pieces of Legos or 48 pencils laying around. I DO consciously remind myself to be thankful for it.

I'm thankful that my heart explodes with so much love for my children.
Thankful that motherhood has taken me places I never knew existed...emotionally and physically.

I'm thankful for stained clothing and sticky fingers.....let's not forget that I AM thankful for all those fingerprints on windows, the laptop and the iPad :)
One day all those fingerprints will be gone........wiped away years ago.

I am SO grateful God has given me maternal instincts when they were/are needed the most.

Thankful that I get to be their living role model and praying I am a good one.
I am thankful for everyday I have with them.

Each child is a gift and with each one my gratitude only magnifies.
And my love......
it knows no bounds, knows no end.

Truly thankful for all of this and much, much more.

What are you thankful for today?

  1. You have a gorgeous family and as much as you are blessed to have them they are blessed to have you! Good for you for being all that you are for them! True blessing! I'm thankful for my hubby, we may not have kids but he gives me a run for my money! Life isn't always roses but it's worth all that goes along with it! So grateful all year long.
