Well hello there!
I do realize that I was super behind.....
in nearly every department.
But I DO have photos of my December Daily for the first week.
Whipped it out just this morning.
Although I'm not crazy about how day 2 turned out
(I will be redoing it later).
My motto lately has been:
simple + sweet.
I've had this wood album for years.
Unfortunately it doesn't have a brand anywhere on it, but it measures approximately 6.5"x5.5".
I love it.
I did order the Studio Calico December Daily kit seeing we don't have great stores in Central Oregon for scrapbooking products & I needed new products.
Honestly, and I hate saying this, the kit was disappointing.
Don't get me wrong, there ARE cute things in there,
but just a few & it was $80!
And I'm a TOTAL SC lover.
back to the album.......
Inside cover.
Printed this wording & design on a tag.
I don't have anything for the opening page yet.
Hopefully a family photo of all of us.
Day 1.
I didn't have any transparencies, so I made all of mine!
It was a chore, but I love how they turned out!
December 1st we were in Hawaii, so I thought "warm wishes" would be cute wording :)
Journaling on the back w/ the typewriter and a Starbucks coffee sleeve.
Simple!
Back of Day 2 and the beginning of Day 3.
I printed a photo right onto a shipping tag.
Day 3 journaling on the back & beginning of Day 4.
For Day 4, I took one of Ali's templates from Designer Digitals & re sized it for my album.
I also changed the wording to say "Hello Holiday lights"
Added the journaling on the front.
I needed something for the back side (I didn't plan ahead anything!) & thought of adding the packaging from the Christmas lights.
So off to the recycle bin I went! :)
And I guess it's a good thing, just in case we need to add or replace lights next year, I'll know which ones we got! Helps to avoid the awkward collection of various holiday lights.
Day 5.
Another template from the same collection from Ali Edwards at Designer Digitals.
Super simple journaling on the back, printed on graph paper.
Beginning of Day 6.
Loving these red wood grain tags I found in Salem a month ago.
Back of Day 6. Journaling inside the shipping tag that's been folded.
Day 7.
Will be using my Instax cameras a lot.
Back is just some silly journaling for silly kids.
And then each "week" ends with these pockets.
I believe these are business card protectors.
I just the very last row off and stitched around the sides & bottom.
I'll had more photos, receipts, tags, etc. from the week.
So there you have it!
Week 1.
Done!

ReplyDeleteYour pages are great. They certainly convey clear messages! I am green with envy; you were in Hawaii. sniff, sniff. The last time I was there was Dec 2003. Oh so very long ago!
ReplyDeleteI admire your honesty about the SC kit.
It looks great! DD is such a fun project. Well done!
ReplyDeleteYour december daily is absolutely beautiful! I love the concept but I really can't imagine taking photos in December outside in the Minnesota cold, lol!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that was disappointed with the DD kit from Studio Calico! I was so excited about it, but when I got it, I was just so disappointed I felt like complaining. And I too, love studio calico I'm even a subscriber, but seriously thats all we got for $80??!! But anyway....
ReplyDeleteI love your album so far, super cute!! Love the simplicity and little touches!
